Passenger fined for ‘speeding’ on the Esplanade

A MAN who was caught with a syringe full of liquid speed has been fined in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court.

Harley Bossom pleaded guilty on Monday to possessing the drug, after police intercepted a vehicle on the Esplanade in December.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Nicole Kunkel said when the officers looked in the car, they noticed the people inside seemed nervous.

Bossom, who was one of the passengers, was found to be carrying the syringe full of methylamphetamine in liquid form.

Magistrate Graeme Tatnell fined him $750.
