Party time next week
STRAP yourselves in for a huge week on the Coffs Coast with the arrival of a galaxy of celebrities.
All the action kicks off this weekend when the Bondi Rescue lifeguards arrive to lend their support for tomorrow’s Beachside Radiology Ocean Swims.
An autograph signing will be available for locals and visitors at the Pet Porpoise Pool at 1.30pm today at the Creekside Cafe.
That’s after the team enjoys a dolphin experience.
Then it’s the arrival of the Top Gear team with their impressive collection of fine machines, carrying a street value of some $2 million, at the Big Banana on Monday.
They’re scheduled to be there from 12.30pm to 2pm.
It’s sure to be a major spectacle led by Jaguar’s matte black XF sports saloon, with more than a dozen rare, exotic and even quirky vehicles in tow.
The convoy will set out tomorrow taking the winding 1920km trip down the east coast of Australia stopping at Coffs Harbour, Sydney, Wollongong and Shepparton before arriving at Melbourne Showgrounds on March 11.
All eyes will be on BCU International Stadium on Saturday, March 12, for the AFL’s NAB Challenge match between Sydney and the loser of last night’s clash between St Kilda and Essendon.
This is the first time in eight years an AFL match has been held in Coffs Harbour.
