Park to get $1m funding

COFFS HARBOUR'S Brelsford Park revamp has won more than $1m in the latest round of Federal Government funding.

The $1.068m to help create a park and bushland area and playground is among a raft of projects on the Mid North Coast to secure funding yesterday.

Federal Infrastructure Minister Anthony Albanese said this was part of the Government's investment to support local jobs and boost the economy.

“Without Federal funding, these projects would have remained in the too-hard basket,” he said. “Investing in ready-to-go local projects will help generate construction activity and support local jobs during the global financial crisis.”
