Parents get their boy's body back

THE body of a young boy taken by an alligator near Disneyworld in Florida was found intact yesterday morning.

Police officers investigating the death said two-year-old Lane Graves had probably drowned.

The alligator latched on to him about 16 hours earlier in a lagoon near the resort.

Matt Graves desperately tried to snatch his son back, but was unsuccessful.

CNN reported the body had only a few "puncture wounds", and Orange County Sheriff Jerry Deemings said the alligator likely drowned the boy rather than trying to eat him.

Local wildlife authorities have since captured four alligators from the lagoon.

Walt Disney World has shut down all of its Florida resort beaches and marinas following the death.
