Nissan Navara flips on Pacific Hwy

TWO related accidents closed the Pacific Highway south of Coffs Harbour for hours on Saturday morning.

A Nissan Navara towing a trailer containing a Whittley fibreglass boat flipped over on the highway 1km south of the Hungry Head turnoff at 8.15am on Saturday, while being driven south by a 49-year-old Mornington man.

The accident blocked the highway for several hours as a crane was required to move the car, boat and trailer.

At 9.30am, a silver Toyota being driven north at Oyster Creek by a 47-year-old Coffs Harbour woman collided with a stationary Mazda.

The accident caused severe damage to the Mazda and trapped the front seat passenger, a 54-year-old Nambucca Heads woman. She was released by the SES and taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital by ambulance suffering neck and chest pain.
