Owners move into Coffs’ latest apartment success story

THE first residents of Coffs Harbour's newest high rise began moving in this week.

Equinox on Ocean Pde at Park Beach comprises 28 two and three-bedroom apartments, which have been popular with buyers.

"There are only five left for sale out of the 28," Nolan Partners selling agent Shane Hessenberger said.

Construction of Equinox came after the same development team's success with the nearby Platinum apartments, which were snapped up with just as much gusto.

"The majority of the buyers have been local buyers, the same as Platinum, there have also been a few from Sydney and even overseas," Shane said.

Developers interviewed about 1000 local prospective buyers to ask them what they wanted from apartment living.

The feedback included a desire for water views, mountain views, a beachfront location and level walk to cafes.

Equinox began selling off the plan in September 2013, with apartments released for sale on a staggered basis.

The final release of penthouses only occurred in recent weeks.

Shane said the majority of the apartments have been bought by owner-occupiers.

"They're mostly retirees, young professional couples and local business owners. Around 15% of the apartments have been sold to investors," he said.

The Real Estate Property Guide team was given an exclusive tour this week.

The apartments range in price from $750,000 to $960,000.

They will be open for inspection today between 2-2.45pm.
