Our roads really are in disgraceful shape
QUEENSLAND truck drivers have slammed the condition of the state's roads, labelling roads outside of the capital city as "horrendous” and "disgraceful”.
Trevor Warner said Australia's road network was a disgrace.
"Australia found the money to build the road at the start. Now the government can't budget for its maintenance or upgrades.”
Doug Harris said the roads were lousy and people didn't realise how bad they were until they travelled on them in a truck.
"The further north you go, the worse they get,” he said.
Regina Curtis said it wasn't just Queensland that was bad, but knowing the roads she'd travelled on, she agreed 100 per cent.
"It does make me wonder if any 'official' people have ever driven on any of the black soil roads around?”
