Restaurant recognised at awards

THE Osprey Restaurant at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus (CHEC) has proven itself more than just a great place for a ‘cheap eat’ accompanied by enthusiastic service.

It’s been recognised as the best training restaurant in country NSW at the Regional Restaurant and Catering Excellence Awards.

TAFE hospitality management teacher Paraic Kavanagh said the award was a feather in the cap for CHEC.

“The award is a true reflection on our students and the expertise they demonstrate during the regular dinner functions held at the restaurant,” Mr Kavanagh said.

“The Osprey is a very versatile venue where we can stage award evenings, formal dinners or bistro lunches while delivering everything from barista or food and beverage service training, through to hospitality, events or tourism management.

“Osprey gives our students the essential hands-on experience they need to land the best jobs”.
