ORIGIN: Qld squad confirmed, Meninga to coach until 2018

UPDATE: Mal Meninga has announced he has extended his coaching contract with the Queensland team another three year until 2018.

Meninga is the most successful coach in Origin history with an 8-1 winning record.

Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans had scans on his injured shoulder suffered in last night' narrow loss to Penrith but will be given time to recover with Cowboy Michael Morgan joining the Maroons camp as his shadow.

EARLIER: QUEENSLAND selectors have brought North Queensland's Michael Morgan into Origin camp to cover injury concerns with Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans.

Cherry-evans injured his shoulder in last night's one point loss to Penrith. His condition will be monitored during the next few days of camp.
