Opp shop calls for volunteers to offer their support

ANN Frost knows just how much of a difference the Royal Far West Opp Shop makes, and she wants others to share her sense of pride and achievement.

Royal Far West - the children's charity - has run an opp shop in Coffs Harbour for 51 of the 65 years the organisation has been in the city supporting local children who need specialist health care in Sydney

Now it needs some support of its own.

Volunteers are needed urgently to join Ann and others to keep the doors of the shop on the corner of Moonee and West High Sts open.

President Jill Gill said there were vacancies for most half-day shifts.

"If you would like to help a children's charity, please volunteer with us, your help is needed right now," Jill said. "We are looking for both male and female volunteers to assist with general duties in the shop.

"You will be joining a fun group of people, all dedicated to giving their time to help sick children.

"We also help the local community by selling a huge range of donated goods for a small cost."
