ON THE HUNT: Police search for chook stealing crook

A THIEF has flown the coop stealing four chickens from a North Mackay home.

Senior Constable Steve Smith said the chickens were plucked from their Bovey St home between 10pm Friday and 7am Saturday.

Police have appealed to anyone who may have spotted the chook-stealing crook to come forward.

This is not the first time thieves have swiped an usual pet from a Mackay home, with police investigating the disappearance of 40 goldfish snatched from their Richmond pond in January.
