Offender left the scene

A VOLUNTEER'S car parked in Jarrett St in Coffs Harbour was damaged last weekend and the offender didn't even leave their details.

Sheena Werner was volunteering at the nearby vet clinic when she exited the clinic to find someone had reversed into her car and left.

“I'm offended that they didn't have the decency to leave their details and upset about the damage to my vehicle,” Ms Werner said.

The small dark blue VW now needs a new back door, and is lucky not to be a write off.

Ms Werner has reported the incident to the police.

“It is an offence to leave the scene of an accident without stopping or leaving particulars,” Chief Inspector Shane Cribb said.

Accidents can be reported on Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
