Northern Beaches youths need more

THE Northern Beaches community agrees; something needs to be done for the local youth.

Several community groups have already put their hand up to look at the feasibility of building a new multi-purpose centre to replace the current inadequate youth centre facility.

The consensus was reached following discussions held at the recent Business Employment and Development workshop.

The Northern Beaches Youth Club, the Business Development Group, Chamber of Commerce and the Resident’s Association unanimously agreed there was a need for a ‘multi-purpose’ community facility to service the youth, sporting and cultural requirements of Woolgoolga and the Northern Beaches.

Youth Club president Carl Freeman was passionate about the need for a new youth centre to replace the existing facility, which is full of white ants and can only fit up to 15 people at a time.

A meeting with all interested members of the community will be held in late March.

Anyone interested in attending should contact Carl Freeman on 0429 842 681 or Alastair Milroy on 0439 435 040
