No one does summer like Sawtell

IT'S not just the beautiful beaches that attract tourists to Sawtell over summer.

The beachside village boasts an abundance of cafes, boutique shops and a variety of restaurants - which will all be open this evening for the monthly Sawtell Summer Session.

Sawtell closes down its main drag for a big street party once a month in summer, providing a range of activities and local entertainment for families and visitors.

This evening, the Coffs Harbour Vintage and Veteran Car Club and the Coffs Harbour and District Motorcycle Restorers Club members will be showing their vehicles.

Back by popular demand, Gary Wedd from Coffs Harbour Vintage and Veteran Car Club said: "We had a blast at last year's Summer Sessions and can't wait to come back.

"There was a lot of interest in the cars and we hope to have around 15-20 cars on show down the southern end of First Avenue.

"It's a great night for the family and we look forward to seeing the motorbikes there this time as well."

There will be plenty of activities to keep the kids busy with a jumping castle, hula-hoops, street chalking plus an animal petting zoo and rainbow body painting under the fig trees.

Enjoy something to eat while being entertained by local buskers.

Don't forget to ask for your Summer Session Loyalty Card whenever you make a purchase at local outlets between 5pm and 8pm for the opportunity to go into the draw for some great prizes on the night.

Please note, the First Avenue street closure from the southern end commences from 4pm.
