NNSW out of finals

NORTHERN New South Wales 15-Years Girls have missed a finals berth at the FFA National Youth Championships at BCU International Stadium after losing their semi final.

After a chequered passage through the series NNSW held their more-fancied rivals to 1-1 at the end of regular time but fatigue quickly crept in soon after the first extra period began and the winners quickly ran out to a 5-1 victory.

Late last night the girls were locked in battle with Queensland in the third vs. fourth playoff.

Earlier in the day the 17-Years Girls won their consolation match 4-2 over Victoria to place seventh in the tournament.

Today's grand finals commence at 9am.

In the 15-Years Girls match, NSW will take on NSW Country while in the second decider from 9.30am for the 17-Years Girls, Football West will play Queensland.
