Nikki could be next Showgirl

NINETEEN-year-old TAFE student Nikki Sinclair is the newest entrant in the 2010 Coffs Harbour Showgirl competition.

Ms Sinclair is studying for her Diploma of Events and working part-time as well.

She is hoping to work at a resort co-ordinating weddings and functions when she completes her course and would also like to organise some events for local young people.

Ms Sinclair began entering Show competitions for cakes, cooking and crafts as a small girl and last year she was a show volunteer, helping out as a steward in the pavilion.

This weekend is the last chance for entries in the showgirl competition, with judging taking place at the showground on Monday afternoon

Entries will close at noon on Monday. Showgirls do not have to raise money, there is no entry fee and the competition is not a beauty quest.

The panel of judges will be looking for young women to represent their district, particularly its agricultural sector.

All enquiries should be made to secretary John Sjolander on 0428 523 559.
