Night of fun for flood fundraiser

THE fantastic success of the Bellingen Golf Club's flood benefit last Saturday night came as a surprise to everyone, including organisers.

According to Martin Tizzard close to 300 people turned up to different parts of the Night of Music.

“It was a real eye-opener,” Mr Tizzard said.

“I've never seen so many people there and the best thing was it was such a mix of ages.

“The wine and the Lounge Wizards attracted us oldies and then after 9pm the younger ones arrived to listen to Rocksalt.

“The barman didn't get home until 5am!”

Mr Tizzard said a lot of wine was sold and hailed the evening a huge financial success.

This Sunday the fundraising continues with a Benefit Golf Day.

The day will be a three-person Ambrose with thousands of dollars worth of prizes to be won, two target holes, a 'Mega Raffle' and an auction on the day.

“There's also a car up for grabs for anyone who gets a hole-in-one,” Mr Tizzard said.

Bookings are essential and $35 will give you lunch plus one drink.

Please phone the club on 6655 1312.
