NIDA is coming to town

NIDA on Tour is heading to Coffs Harbour from September 30 until October 5 with three specialist short courses in acting.

Coffs Coast participants can experience the National Institute of Dramatic Art's training from people in the business, and NIDA graduates.

The visiting professionals will include Sean Hall (The Illusionist, Australia) and Paul Caesar (All Saints, Home and Away, The Square).

Famous NIDA graduates include Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Baz Luhrmann, Judy Davis, Susie Porter, Sam Worthington, Jeremy Sims and Miranda Otto.

NIDA on Tour offers the chance to experience current industry techniques and training methods,” said Mark Gaal, artistic associate NIDA open program.

“It is also an opportunity to develop your skills with other local students who are also passionate about the performing arts”.

The Coffs Harbour short courses will be held at Bishop Druitt College at 111 North Boambee Road.

Courses include: NIDA Acting Techniques 12 years plus, September 30 to October 3, 10am-5pm; Acting Intensive 16 years plus, October 4-5, 10am-5pm; Acting to Camera 12-18 years, October 4-5,10am-5pm
