Nickelback: Crimes against music post goes viral

QUEENSLAND police hammered another nail into Nickelback's popularity coffin.

Posting on their Facebook and Twitter accounts, the Queensland Police Service issued a tongue-in-cheek "most wanted" ad for the nu-metal band.

The Facebook post had more than 30,000 likes, more than 12,000 comments and nearly 10,000 shares by Thursday morning after the band's Brisbane show.

Martin Sharp wrote: "Nice to see even the police have a good sense of humour. Are crimes against music an arrestable offence?"

Dion Ladouceur Waniandy added: "Lol funny, the band scares the music world that much huh ? Cool good to see our Canadian band shakin up the aussie trees."

Sadly for Nickelback, who are touring Australia this month, this is not the first time the world has shown utter contempt for them.

Last year a man launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to keep the band out of London, while back in 2010 someone else launched a Facebook page titled "Can this pickle get more fans than Nickleback (sic)?".

Luckily for the band, it didn't.
