New Toowoomba Mountaineers QBL coach works on his squad

BASKETBALL: New coach Danny Morseu is already hard at work shaping his Toowoomba Mountaineers QBL squad.

Despite only recently accepting the position, the two-time Olympian has dived straight into the role, according to Toowoomba Mountaineers Ltd representative Peter Rookas.

"Danny has been very busy since taking on the coaching role,” he said.

"He's already spoken to a lot of the players to gauge their commitment and share his vision.”

Morseu is also working hard on recruitment, sizing up potential new talent for the team.

"Danny has presented a number of potential import options to the TML board,” Rookas said.

"One of the more promising players has QBL and NBL experience.”

Rookas said the TML would discuss options with a focus on ensuring they could make a positive impact on and off the court.
