New facilities at Dorrigo pass test

ON December 13 a recognition ceremony is being held at Dorrigo High School to celebrate the completion of the science laboratory refurbishment.

Mrs Anne Smith, principal of Dorrigo High School, said students and staff at Dorrigo High School are greatly appreciative of the refurbished science laboratories. State of the art facilities have enhanced the delivery of science curriculum.

Works undertaken include:

  • Two fully refurbished science laboratories with full safety facilities
  • Interactive whiteboards and wireless networking;
  • A refurbished preparation area; and
  • An outdoor learning area.

These works were part of the Science and Language Centres for 21st Century Secondary Schools (SLC) component of the Building the Education Revolution.

Dorrigo High School also received $125,000 under the National School Pride component of the Building the Education Revolution to provide a shed for the storage of canoes and equipment, and new carpet in the main teaching building.
