New board and budget for Tourism

THE Mid North Coast NSW Regional Tourism Organisation will implement its 2010-2011 Strategic Business and Marketing Plan with a new board and a record budget of $1.5 million.

Executive officer Belinda Novicky said each of the eight new board members, announced this week, were independently selected on merit and industry experience from applications submitted last December.

“Each of the new board members is a specialist in their field and bring proven knowledge and experience to this important position,” said Ms Novicky.

“We are now best equipped to implement our new Strategic Business and Marketing Plan for the largest and most popular tourism destination in NSW.

“There is a great breadth of specialist tourism knowledge on this new board which we feel has a good across the board industry representation for the total region.”

The 2010 board members are: Paige Sinclair, Lorraine Gordon, Lisa Harvey, Kevin Wilson, Kathryn Balodis, Donna Carrier, Richard Old and Michelle Cox. The new board will meet mid February to elect office bearers.
