Neighbour brawl turns nasty

A MAN, 29, sustained bruising and grazing in a heated neighbour dispute at Park Beach on Sunday afternoon.

Police said three people punched and kicked the man in Boultwood Street at 4.30pm and when he tried to defend himself with a fence paling, he was struck with another paling.

Other residents rushed to the aid of the man, who was found lying on the ground.

Police were called to the scene and paramedics took the injured man to Coffs Harbour Health Campus.

Later that night police arrested a woman, 21, and a man, 18, in Phillip Street, Coffs Harbour, and charged them with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.

They were due to appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court yesterday.
