Police search for missing Nambucca Heads man ends in success

NOON: Keith Mitchell, aged 64, was last seen on Wednesday 24 December 2014, has been located safe and well.

Officers involved in the search located Mr Mitchell in a nearby street.

Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.

9AM: POLICE are appealing for information regarding a Nambucca Heads man last seen on Christmas Eve.

Keith Mitchell, aged 64, was last seen around 10.30pm on Wednesday when he went to bed at a relative's house on Marks Rd in Gorokan.

When his relatives woke upon Christmas morning, they found that he had left the property.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

Police and Mr Mitchell's family hold concerns for his safety as he has a medical condition and is believed to be without medication.

Mr Mitchell is described as being of Caucasian appearance, around 180cm tall, of thin build, with green/hazel eyes and dark hair.

Due to his medical condition, he may appear disoriented.

Anyone who knows Mr Mitchell's whereabouts, or has any information that could assist investigators with their inquiries, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
