Rafael Nadal next up for Nick Kyrgios

TENNIS: Just 16 months ago, Nick Kyrgios was ranked No.576 in the world, and dreaming of the day he would get earn a start in a grand slam tournament without needing a wildcard.

Tomorrow night the 19-year-old from Canberra, who is indeed playing at Wimbledon thanks to the generosity of the All-England Club, will face world No.1 Rafael Nadal in a fourth round clash that has Aussie tennis fans hoping this 'next big thing' can live up to the hype.

Kyrgios, who will jump into the top 100 in the world regardless of the result, certainly has no limits on what he can achieve.

"I will keep aiming higher and higher. Right now I won't put a number on it," he said after downing young Czech Jiri Vesely 3-6 6-3 7-5 6-2 in a rain-interrupted third round match.

"I never thought that I would be seeing Nadal in the Wimbledon fourth round at 19. I thought it would take years and years of work to finally have an opportunity like that.

"Of course I have nothing to lose out there. Anything is possible.

"I'm just going to go out there and play my game. I think that's definitely enough to be competitive."

The big shock of day six came in the women's draw, with top seed Serena

Williams beaten 1-6 6-3 6-4 by Frenchwoman Alize Cornet.

With dual grand slam winner Li Na also out, Romania's third seed Simona Halep is the highest-seeded player still in the women's draw.
