Murder accused to stand trial in Supreme Court

A COFFS Harbour man charged with the murder of his defacto's two-year old daughter in 2014 will appear in Sydney's Supreme Court on May 6.

The initial investigation charged 23-year-old Thomas Lock with murder and one count of sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 10 years.

The latter charge was dismissed at Monday's committal hearing in the Coffs Harbour Local Court.

Lock was refused bail and remanded in custody.

He is expected to make a plea in the State's Supreme Court next month.
