Mongols targeted on Coffs Coast

COFFS/ Clarence police are carrying out checks on a motorcycle gang travelling through Coffs Harbour this afternoon as part of their Anti-Bikie Strategy across the command.

Members of the Mongols Australia bikie gang were stopped by police earlier this morning travelling on the Pacific Hwy south-bound near Cooke Dr.

Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command Crime Manager, Detective Inspector Darren Jameson said outlawed motorcycle gangs are being targeting by the command.

"We are targeting in on outlaw motorcycle gangs. These gangs are notorious for their involvement with crime and other criminal enterprises," Det Insp Jameson said.

"Any OMCG that comes through the command or travelling through this area will be targeted,

"I encourage the community to notify the police when they see OMCG movements in our command."

To inform police of outlawed motorcycle gangs, contact the Coffs Harbour police station on 6691 0799.
