Break out the board games: miserable weather will return

IF YOU like a bit of consistency in your weather, then you're going to love the week ahead.

The problem is, it's going to be consistently miserable.

After the wet weather of last week, the Coast endured a weekend where the mercury struggled to get above 22 degrees during the day and dipped as low as 13 degrees at night.

And we've been told there's more of the same on the way.

"You're going to continue to get pretty much the same for the rest of the week," Weatherzone meteorologist Tristan Meyers warned.

"There's a high pressure system that's slowly moving east and directing some cloudy conditions onto the region.

"It could warm up by next weekend but at this stage it's still a bit uncertain."

And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, Mr Meyers said we might even get wet again.

"Yeah, there could be intermittent coastal showers," he said.

"But there's some calmer weather on the way so the winds will disappear."

But it looks like it could be smart to keep a jumper and an umbrella handy for a few days.
