Mim's car targeted twice

DON’T tell Boambee East’s Mim Flatt that petty crime is falling on the Coffs Coast.

Her car has been targeted twice by vandals and she’s staring down the barrel of a second full vehicle respray in 18-months.

“I left the car parked outside our house on the footpath and I came out to find it like this last week.”

It appears a vandal has thrown brake fluid over the roof of her Nissan Pulsar causing the paintwork to flake and lift.

It’s not the first time she has forked out $600 for an insurance excess to cover a new paint job for the car.

In 2008, someone ‘keyed’ her vehicle while it was parked at Bonville in another random attack. That experience costs her a $600 insurance excess for new paintwork.

“I am just really annoyed by this, if it was a group of young kids who did it for a laugh I’d like to track them down and grab their iPod or whatever is precious to them and just run it over in my car,” she said.
