Norco meeting in Coffs

NORCO Co-operative Limited will hold its annual general meeting in Coffs Harbour this morning.

The farmer-owned dairy co-operative will hold its AGM at the Australia Opal Cove Resort from 10.30am.

Chief financial officer and acting Norco Co-op secretary Camille Hogan will give a presentation to farmers during the meeting, which will be open only to shareholders and invited guests.

Many local dairy farmers who are members of the Co-op's supplier base are expected to take the opportunity to attend the event, which has been scheduled to allow dairy farmers to attend after the completion of morning milking.

Coffs Coast farmers said they would be expecting to hear extended financial updates, as the October meeting of Norco suppliers had been cancelled.

Members will also be anxious to hear any news about future prices for milk, in addition to the financial performance of their co-operative.

Local farmers said they did not expect the current chairman of Norco, Greg McNamara, to face a challenge to his position today.
