Migrants injured in border clash

MORE than 260 people were wounded on Sunday when Macedonian police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at migrants trying to break through from the Greek side of the border.

A Macedonian official said an earlier attempt to cross the border fence led to the altercation, with police claiming they had to protect themselves from crowds throwing rocks and other objects.
