Memories of Johanna

ONE of Coffs Harbour's well-known characters, Marco Brandli, recently lost his wife and soul partner of 58 years.
Johanna "Hanni" Brandli passed away peacefully at home on February 28, only two months after being diagnosed with cancer.

Johanna, though not as well-known as Marco, was a quiet achiever and much loved.

This was evident at her funeral, attended by almost 200 people, not to mention many cards and letters from friends and family from all over Australia and overseas.

We are so grateful for having been able to honour mum's only wish - to stay at home - through the support of the amazing staff at Coffs Harbour Palliative Care Services.

Their respectful attention made mum's last few weeks (and our care of her) just that much more comfortable and bearable.

In lieu of flowers, donations to palliative care were requested by the family.

We are pleased and proud to have been able to donate $850 in Johanna's memory.

ISABELLA BRANDLI
