Mel Gibson goes on explosive rant at mother of three

AUSTRALIAN actor Mel Gibson has reportedly lashed out at a Sydney photographer, spitting on her and telling her she was 'going to hell' in an expletive-laden tirade.

The Daily Telegraph claims the Hollywood star shoved and verbally abused its photographer Kristi Mller after she took his photograph outside the Palace Verona Cinema in Paddington.

Miller, a mother-of-three, said she thought Gibson was going to punch her in the face at one stage.

"He was spitting in my face as he was yelling at me, calling me a dog, saying I'm not even a human being and I will go to hell," she told the Telegraph.

"He swore and called me a c---, it was non-stop, he didn't even breathe."

Miller said the tirade seemed to last for an 'eternity' before Gibson finally stopped.

"That I was a dog, that I disrespected him, that I should get a new job, that I'm a vile person, that I will go to hell.''

She said Gibson had accused the photographer of disrespecting him and invading his privacy.

Gibson's girlfriend, 24-year-old champion US equestrian vaulter Rosalind Ross, was reportedly forced to intervene and was heard apologising.

The incident has been reported to police but it is unknown if any action will be taken.

Gibson is in Australia ahead of the filming of World War II drama Hacksaw Ridge, which he is set to direct.
