Max Brenner reveals opening date and FREE drinks

CHOCOLATE lovers won't have to wait much longer for Max Brenner to open in the Garden City.

The chocolate bar originally announced its opening date as Thursday, September 21 but due to unexpected delays it has been pushed back to Thursday, October 19.

It is operating out of Grand Central Shopping Centre's new dining precinct.

When The Chronicle revealed the popular chocolate bar would be opening, it sent residents into a frenzy with thousands of people reading the article as well as thousands of reactions on social media.

With cafes dotted all around Australia, it is about time Max Brenner opened a store here to satisfy the cravings of all Toowoomba chocolate lovers.

Max Brenner is well known for its decadent desserts including waffles, creamy fondue, chocolate pizza and its signature thick hot chocolate.

On opening day Max Brenner will be giving out free hot chocolates until about 2pm.

It will also hold its famous Chocolate Smashing Ceremony, which involves smashing giant blocks of chocolate and customers getting to enjoy the broken pieces.

Max Brenner marketing specialist Michiel Knuysen said the team was excited to be opening in Toowoomba.

"Due to some unexpected delays we had to push back our opening date but we will be serving people come October 19," he said.

"We are super excited because we know so many Toowoomba residents are looking forward to us opening."
