Maureen says hello to Dolly

MAUREEN Burgess is looking for Dolly but she also wants Horace, Cornelius and all the other colourful, larger than life characters from Hello Dolly.

The Coffs Harbour director is about to cast a new production of the ever-popular musical about the meddlesome widow and her match making escapades and she will be holding open auditions at Tyalla School at 11am on May 25.

Ms Burgess is looking to cast the whole show and is hoping some new Coffs residents will be interested in the musical and is hoping that some of Coffs Harbour's new residents will be interested in coming along prepared to sing and trying out for the musical, which will be performed at the Jetty Theatre in November, with rehearsals beginning in late June or early July.

An extra incentive for women will be the opportunity to wear one of the wonderful hats being made for the show by talented theatrical costume designer Baz Reilly.
