BLUES coach Laurie Daley has claimed underdog status for tomorrow night's State of Origin decider at Suncorp Stadium, suggesting Queensland has the most to lose.

Daley will make a decision today on whether injured hooker Robbie Farah plays despite having surgery on his broken hand just seven days ago.

"Never write him off. He's a guy who is passionate about playing for NSW," Daley said.

"We'll give him every chance and we'll see what happens."

Daley said the defending champions had prepared the best they could, given Farah's situation.

"There's not a great deal of pressure on us because before the series started, nobody expected us to win," he said.

"Queensland are playing at home and it's Hodgo's (Justin Hodges) last game.

"They are a great side, they've proven that over time.

"We're the team travelling up here that nobody gives a chance, we're the battlers from NSW, and we'll just do our best.

"We've got no pressure on us and I am happy with that."

Queensland will not go into the game expecting the home ground advantage to be the deciding factor, and will be aware the Blues are set to zero in on rookie winger Dane Gagai despite Daley talking up the Newcastle Knights backline star.

"He's a wonderful player Dane, but he hasn't played wing before and I think most people when they are making their Origin debuts would rather play in their preferred positions," he said. "He'll be nervous as everyone is on debut - everybody can be exposed in Origin when they're making their debut."
