Mark strikes it rich with The Big Adventure victory

ADELAIDE tradie Mark Sellar is Australia's newest millionaire after winning The Big Adventure.

The 27-year-old won the inaugural grand final of the reality game show last night after unlocking the winning chest containing the cash prize.

The odds were with Sellar, who finished up with seven out of the 12 keys for the chests buried in the sand of the Treasure Grid.

"I cannot believe that has just happened," Sellar said.

"I've actually got a million dollars. This is the most spectacular moment of my entire life. My dreams have completely come true."

After years spent building other people's homes, Sellar hopes to use the money to construct his own dream house by the beach.

He also plans to help his parents out financially.

"They've given me so much," he said.

"It would be great to give them something back."
