Man wanted over approach on young girl at Urunga

POLICE are appealing for information after a girl was approached in Urunga on Saturday.

A 15-year-old was walking along Burrawong Parade when a red station wagon stopped beside her between 6pm and 6.30pm, police have been told.

The male driver is said to have spoken to the girl briefly, encouraging her to enter the car, before she ran to a friend's home nearby.

Police were called and commenced investigations.

They would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being about 50-60 years old, with an unshaven face, a large nose and ash-coloured hair.

He was seen wearing a black t-shirt.
