Man thrown from wreck

A MAN was thrown from his vehicle in a head-on smash on the Pacific Highway south of Nambucca Heads late yesterday.

An ambulance spokesman said he was in a critical condition and was taken to hospital. Paramedics also treated two other people at the scene. The collision between a four-wheel-drive and a sedan happened about 4.30pm.

Traffic was being diverted around the smash as paramedics worked into the early evening.
