Man hospitalised after flying fox fall

A 20-YEAR old with suspected back injuries suffered after falling from a flying fox on Sunday was collected by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter near Bangalow.

The man was using the device on a private property around midday when he fell off and collided with a tree stump.

There was a suspicion of spinal injuries and the man was flown to Gold Coast Hospital where he handed at around 2pm, a spokesperson for the Rescue Helicopter said.
