Man faces assault charge

A WOOLGOOLGA man, 20, was due to face court yesterday on a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Police said the man stopped his car near the intersection of Beryl Street and the Pacific Highway in Coffs Harbour at 11.30am on Monday and punched a Repton man, 20.

The alleged victim sustained grazes and cuts to his elbows when he fell, bruising and swelling to his head, and a ripped shirt.

The Woolgoolga man was arrested the next day and subsequently charged.
