The court heard the 17-year-old allegedly jumped out of a car near Macauleys Headland Drive at 10.40pm last Saturday assaulting a 15-year-old male.

Police will allege the victim was walking north along the Pacific Highway with three friends. As the group neared the intersection of Macauleys Headland Drive a car stopped beside the group.

He returned to the vehicle and they fled.

Police seized the backpack, clothing and cosmetics which were allegedly stolen. Later that afternoon the accused Korora male attended Coffs Harbour Police Station where he was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Coffs Harbour Children’s Court on March 29.
