Man arrested on child sex offences

AN elderly Nambucca Heads man will face court over alleged child sex offences dating back to the 1990s.

Nambucca Valley police have been investigating complaints since the middle of the month about the alleged offences involving young children at Nambucca Heads.

On September 20 they swooped on a relocatable home at the White Albatross Caravan Park at Nambucca Heads and returned two days later.

They arrested an 82-year-old man and took him to Macksville Police Station where he refused to be interviewed.

He was charged with nine alleged offences including aggravated sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault.

He was refused bail to appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on November 9.
