Truck roll causes major delays on Southern Expressway

A truck carrying cement has rolled over on the Southern Expressway, blocking three southbound lanes near Main South Rd.

The truck rolled over just before 6.30am today in Hackham while turning from the Southern Expressway onto Main South Rd.

Just one lane is open heading south, with police advising motorists to exit on Beach Rd at Christies Beach to avoid delays.

Citybound traffic remains unaffected, but southbound delays will persist for most of the morning.

Main South Rd is expected to be closed for southbound traffic altogether as crews upright the truck.

No one was injured.
