Man charged for alleged explicit comments to teen

A 62-year-old man has been charged following an alleged attempted act of indecency at Macksville last week.

Police say the man approached a boy, 16, on the Pacific Hwy about 4pm on Wednesday.

He's alleged to have made a number of sexually explicit comments to the teenager, who notified Mid North Coast Police.

The man was arrested on Friday and taken to Macksville Police Station, where he was charged with an attempted act of indecency and intimidation.

He has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Macksville Local Court on August 4.
