Macksville prepares for show

MACKSVILLE Show will take over the local showground on Friday and Saturday, with Saturday the most important day for show visitors.

Carnival rides will be in operation on Saturday only and this year will see commercial show bags available for the first time.

Macksville Show vice-president Christopher Pearson said the show would have lots of entertainment including extreme FMX motorycles, a demolition derby and fireworks

“We have quite good entries in the beef cattle section, as well as junior paraders,” Mr Pearson said.

“The pavilion has been very well supported this year, especially cooking and quilting.

“People also have the opportunity to meet May Harris, one of the cooks whose recipes are included in The Country Show Cookbook.”

Launched at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, The Country Show Cookbook: Award Winning Recipes from Country Shows, will be on sale at the Macksville Show.
