Federal MP helps disabled surfers

FEDERAL MP Luke Hartsuyker has raised more than $6000 for the Disabled Surfers Association from his charity bike ride through the electorate earlier this month.

Luke spent three days riding from Maclean to Kempsey - raising exactly $6007.05 from the ride. “The funds raised will be used by the DSA to purchase equipment and host open days which are held on the North Coast,” said Luke.

“By providing people who otherwise would not have the opportunity to enjoy surfing, the DSA is doing a tremendous job.”

Luke's next bicycle challenge is the Pollie Pedal ride which this year is riding from Brisbane to Sydney and starts on April 27.
