Lowest temperature of 2013 notched yesterday
THE temperatures just keep dropping in Toowoomba.
The city reached 1.7 degrees at 7am yesterday, 5.7 degrees below the June average minimum. The apparent temperature hit -1.6 degrees.
The sunny days and absence of cloud cover are causing the chilly temperatures - but some photographers are making the most of the chilly conditions.
Grant Rolph from Higgins Storm Chasing captured the star trail image (above) on the Condamine River at Ellangowan between Toowoomba and Leyburn earlier this week.
"It was four degrees when I finished, dew was starting to form on the lens," he said.
Cool temperatures and sunny conditions will continue today and tomorrow, with frost areas diminishing by Friday.
