Local kids in a spin!

WOODTURNERS from the Mid North Coast Woodworkers’ Club are making spinning tops to give away to children at local shopping centres during the school holidays.

Today and tomorrow they will be at Park Beach Plaza.

Newcastle Permanent is one of the club’s major sponsors; and they are also giving away children’s packs and balloons at the same time.

The club’s annual three-day Fine Woodworking Exhibition will open on Friday at the Cavanbah Centre, where it will remain on show until Sunday .Entry to the exhibition is free.

As usual, there will be an extensive display of some amazing woodwork. This year’s exhibition will be opened by Ted Bailey, another major club sponsor.

All types of woodworking will be featured and there will be numerous information sessions by some of the nation’s finest woodworkers, some with international standing.
