Local Auskickers to play big time

LOCAL Auskick players will get a taste of life as an AFL player tomorrow when they play at half time during the Sydney Swans and North Melbourne match.

It will be the perfect opportunity for the young Auskickers to have a fun time with their friends and to experience the thrill and excitement of running out onto a packed Sydney Cricket Ground.

The half-time NAB Auskick program offers the kids from Tamworth, the North Coast, Armidale, Mid North Coast, Inverell and Port Macquarie with an experience that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

All budding young AFL players will watch the opening quarter of the Swans and Kangaroos game before making their way to the stadium’s change-room facilities. An area seldom visited by the general public.

The Auskickers will then kit up in their AFL gear before making the exciting walk to the entrance of the playing field for one of their most enjoyable games of AFL.

At the conclusion of the half-time match, the Auskickers will welcome back the teams as they run onto the SCG to play out the second half of their game.

All players will then return to the stands to cheer on the Swans and North Melbourne.
